Our Men’s Club serves the Parish with projects at the church, the school, and the social hall, maintaining the “nuts and bolts” of the Parish’s moving parts, like the church kneelers and the kitchen equipment in the social hall. The Men’s Club holds an annual St. Patrick’s corned beef and barbecued beef dinner to raise funds which are distributed throughout the parish as needs arise. A particular focus of the Men’s Club is to interact with the school by providing occasional snacks, such as ice cream cones and quesadillas, to the students and staff and by purchasing equipment for the physical education program. The life and vitality of this group depend on the many members who are willing to donate their time and talent. We are so thankful for each of them!
The group meets once a month for a dinner-meeting where members cook gourmet meals for themselves, plan and discuss future projects and have a fun time doing it. The dinner meetings cost each member $10 and there is an annual membership fee of $10. All new prospective members can visit, learn, and dine with them for free. The St John’s Men’s Club live by a simple creed, “Good guys doing great things.”
